New Delhi, Feb 23 (NationPress) On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the construction of the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Institute in Madhya Pradesh's Garha village, following an invitation from Bageshwar Dham leader Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri.
The hospital aims to offer complimentary medical care to cancer patients from disadvantaged backgrounds and will feature cutting-edge chemotherapy and cancer treatment amenities.
Expert physicians will manage patient care, providing top-tier medical assistance. The project is projected to cost around Rs 200 crore and is anticipated to be finished within two to three years.
Speaking to a large crowd, PM Modi expressed his appreciation for visiting Bundelkhand twice in quick succession. 'This visit is at the invitation of Balaji. It is indeed Hanuman Ji's blessings that this place of faith is evolving into a health center as well,' he remarked.
He noted that the Bageshwar Dham Medical Science and Research Institute will be established on a 10-acre site, with the first phase including a 100-bed facility.
In a statement, the Prime Minister addressed those he claimed 'disparage the Hindu faith,' stating, 'There have always been individuals who belittle our beliefs, mock religion, and aim to fracture society. Often, foreign entities also attempt to undermine our nation and faith by supporting such factions. These forces have existed in various forms for centuries.'
He further accused these groups of launching attacks against Hindu beliefs, saints, temples, and cultural customs.
'Their objective is to disrupt the unity of our society. However, during such times, my younger brother Dhirendra Shastri has been diligently working to promote the message of unity across the nation,' he added.
Commending Pandit Dhirendra Shastri's contributions, PM Modi praised the establishment of the cancer institute, saying, 'At Bageshwar Dham, visitors will not only receive the blessings of bhajan and food but also the gift of a healthy life.'
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the mass wedding events organized by Bageshwar Dham for those in economically weaker sections.
'I have been informed that a mass wedding for 251 daughters will take place here on Maha Shivratri. I sincerely commend this noble effort and extend my best wishes to the newlyweds for a joyful married life,' he remarked.
Discussing the current Maha Kumbh, PM Modi emphasized its spiritual and cultural importance.
'The Maha Kumbh is now culminating. Millions have gathered, taken sacred dips, and sought blessings from saints. Witnessing this magnificent event is truly awe-inspiring -- this is genuinely a Maha Kumbh of unity,' he stated.
'Held once every 144 years, this Maha Kumbh will continue to inspire future generations as a symbol of national solidarity,' the Prime Minister concluded.
