Patna, June 20 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday emphasized that Bihar will play a crucial role in realizing the vision of 'Viksit Bharat'. He urged citizens to stay alert and vigilant against the ‘jungle raj’ forces, which are once again seeking an opportunity to regain control of the state.
While addressing a sizable crowd in Siwan, PM Modi inaugurated a multitude of development initiatives and criticized the RJD-Congress alliance for keeping Bihar in a state of stagnation for many years.
“The Lalten and Panja have driven the residents of Bihar to leave their homeland and seek opportunities elsewhere. They have reduced the state to a condition where poverty and migration became synonymous with Bihar,” PM Modi remarked, directly targeting Lalu Yadav’s RJD and the Congress party.
He noted that it is under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and the NDA government that Bihar has been steered back onto the path of development.
PM Modi also pointed out that today’s youth might have only heard tales of Bihar’s struggles from two decades ago but lack real understanding of the dire state created by Jungle Raj.
“The people of Bihar have always upheld their self-respect and demonstrated their resilience through hard work and determination. However, it is the alliance of 'lalten' (lantern) and 'panja' (hand) that severely damaged Bihar's dignity,” he told the attendees.
Furthermore, he stated that Bihar will be a significant player in India’s emergence as a third global superpower. He shared insights from his recent international engagements.
“As you know, I returned from abroad just yesterday. During this trip, I engaged with leaders from prominent, prosperous nations. They are incredibly impressed by India’s rapid advancement and foresee India becoming the third-largest economic superpower in the world. Bihar will undoubtedly play a significant role in this progress,” PM Modi told the audience, drawing loud applause.
He also cautioned the public to be vigilant against those who previously brought jungle raj to Bihar, indicating their ongoing attempts to reclaim their negative legacy.
He urged the citizens to consider the future of their children and make thoughtful choices when the state holds elections.
