Chandigarh, Oct 1 (NationPress) The Congress party's Punjab unit has initiated a signature drive to combat ‘vote-chori’ (vote theft) as part of a larger national effort aiming to gather 5 crore signatures to be submitted to the Election Commission by October 15.
The Punjab chapter is targeting to collect 15 lakh signatures. Notably, senior Akali Dal figure and former minister Anil Joshi, along with civil society advocate Deepak Lamba, have joined the Congress.
In a press conference, party general secretary and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel expressed that the inclusion of Joshi and Lamba will significantly bolster the Congress.
