While inaugurating and laying the groundwork for 33 projects worth Rs 42.46 crore in Ganganagar, located in the Dhalai district, CM Saha highlighted that efforts are underway to bolster the infrastructure of district hospitals to enhance health services. This year alone, projects amounting to approximately Rs 674 crore have either been inaugurated or had their foundation stones laid.
Prior to the event, CM Saha, along with other dignitaries and officials, tuned in to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program.
“We look forward to the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast every last Sunday of the month. PM Modi exemplifies the ability to transcend politics and engage with the populace through this initiative. In the latest episode, the 123rd, he addressed numerous significant topics. Thanks to the Prime Minister’s relentless dedication, yoga has received global recognition,” stated Saha.
He reiterated that PM Modi aims to unite all of India through the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ series, emphasizing women’s empowerment and the importance of maintaining physical fitness and health. As the Health and Family Welfare portfolio holder, Saha echoed the Prime Minister’s call for everyone to contribute to the welfare of the people.
“Thus, the BJP government is committed to ensuring continuous development. The dual-engine government is dedicated to fostering public happiness and ensuring that the benefits of people-centric programs reach every individual,” he mentioned.
CM Saha pointed out that the Prime Minister has introduced a HIRA (Highway, Internet, Railways, and Airways) model of development, which has led to remarkable advancements in the state’s national highways, internet services, railways, and air travel. He also emphasized the importance of leveraging local resources for further development.
Moreover, he asserted that health services in the state are witnessing substantial improvements.
“The number of MBBS seats across Tripura's three medical colleges has risen to 400, while the dental college now offers 63 seats,” said Saha, who is also a dental surgeon.
