Jaipur, Oct 1 (NationPress) The Rajasthan BJP president Madan Rathore took part in numerous public gatherings in Sikar and Bikaner, advocating for the party's “Vocal for Local” initiative and addressing significant organizational matters with party members.
During the inauguration of a Khadi exhibition in Sikar on Wednesday, Rathore explored various khadi apparel and made a purchase via digital payment to promote cashless transactions.
In light of the approaching Gandhi Jayanti (October 2), he stressed that khadi, a fabric once promoted by Mahatma Gandhi, symbolizes self-sufficiency and is currently being actively advocated under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Seva Pakhwada initiative.
“October 2 is not just the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi but also of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The Seva Pakhwada, initiated on PM Modi's birthday, showcases local products and embodies the spirit of service. Similar to Gandhi ji, Modiji motivates individuals to wear khadi to support local industries,” Rathore stated.
He further mentioned that, following the directives of the BJP national leadership, cleanliness campaigns, brainstorming discussions, and community service activities are being emphasized throughout this campaign.
In a brief comment concerning Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra’s birthday, Rathore expressed, “I wish him a long life and hope he gains wisdom. It's commendable that he remains as he is, but a bit of insight would be beneficial.”
Rathore also addressed Dotasra’s recent criticisms regarding the government’s teacher transfer policy.
“It's ironic that Dotasra questions this now, given that during his own time as Education Minister, teachers confessed in front of the then Chief Minister that money was exchanged for transfers,” he remarked.
Earlier in Bikaner, Rathore inaugurated the office of MLA Jethananand Vyas, and later visited the ashram of former MP Sumedhanand Saraswati in Sikar, where he conveyed birthday wishes and participated in a program.
At the BJP District Office in Sikar, Rathore engaged in discussions regarding organizational matters with officials, including Dinesh Dhabai, Manoj Batad, Hariram Ranwan, Shravan Chaudhary, Rajesh Rollan, and other local leaders.
