How Does ‘Vande Mataram’ Reinforce Patriotic Values? Rajasthan BJP Chief Explains
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Jaipur, Nov 4 (NationPress) Rajasthan BJP State President Madan Rathore highlighted that the 'Vande Mataram 150' initiative is aimed at reviving the spirit of patriotism among the populace, rather than seeking political leverage.
Rathore revealed that the central government has orchestrated significant celebrations nationwide to commemorate the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram'.
In Rajasthan, this campaign will transform into a festival of communal engagement, with the primary state-level gathering set for November 7 at SMS Stadium, Jaipur, where thousands are expected to participate in a collective rendition of 'Vande Mataram'.
Further, district-level events will take place in Ajmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Jodhpur, Sikar, Bhilwara, and Alwar.
“Vande Mataram signifies honoring our motherland. This is not a political campaign; it is a national initiative to enhance patriotic sentiments,” emphasized Rathore.
“Our objective is to engage every citizen and instill a profound sense of national pride. Patriotic fervor should resonate equally within the ruling party and the opposition.”
He further stated, “If anyone still resists singing Vande Mataram, it signifies a lack of nationalism. Those who remain indifferent to insults against the nation or its military must reignite their patriotic awareness. Today, some individuals prioritize personal interests over national responsibilities—these individuals must rediscover their nationalistic spirit.”
Emphasizing the overarching goal of the campaign, Rathore articulated that 'Vande Mataram 150' embodies not just a celebration but a mass movement promoting patriotism, indigenous values, and national unity.
He called on citizens to reinvigorate 'Vande Mataram' as a symbol of renewed energy and enthusiasm in the heart of India.
Additionally, Rathore noted that the 150th birth anniversary of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda will also be celebrated with great fervor.
“When the BJP honors such esteemed figures, the opposition often perceives it politically. However, these events are purely intended to inspire patriotism. The opposition should also host similar programs in memory of national heroes,” he remarked.
