Jaipur, Sep 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday inaugurated 160 brand new roadways (Blue Line Express) buses belonging to the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) at Amar Jawan Jyoti in Jaipur.
During this event, he also launched a super luxury bus service connecting Jaipur with Kathgodam (Kainchidham, Uttarakhand).
The Chief Minister mentioned that the development of safe, organized, and modern transportation services signifies Rajasthan’s ongoing advancement. He stressed that making facilities accessible to the last individual in society is the government’s primary focus.
According to him, the introduction of these new buses will alleviate the increasing traffic burden and offer residents more seamless and dependable transport options.
Sharma highlighted that the new Jaipur-Kathgodam service would provide convenience to pilgrims visiting Baba Neem Karauli Dham (Kainchidham) and enhance religious tourism.
Moreover, he revealed that special bus services to key pilgrimage sites like Ayodhya, Govardhan, Salasar Balaji, Ramdevra, Shrinathji, Shrikarni Mata, and Kaila Devi have been operational since last year to facilitate religious commuting for the public.
Prior to the flag-off, the Chief Minister performed a ceremonial worship of the new vehicles and examined their amenities.
The 160 Blue Line Express buses have been allocated across 12 depots statewide, including Vaishali Nagar, Vidyadhar Nagar, Shahpura, Jaipur, Hindaun, Dausa, Ajmer, Ajaymeru, Kotputli, Dholpur, Sawaimadhopur, and Bhilwara.
This initiative fulfills a crucial budget pledge aimed at bolstering public transportation with affordable, safe, and contemporary travel solutions.
Notable attendees included Deputy Chief Minister Dr Premchand Bairwa, MLA Gopal Sharma, RSRTC Chairperson Shubhra Singh, Transport Secretary Shuchi Tyagi, RSRTC Managing Director Purushottam Sharma, along with other senior officials from the Transport Department and RSRTC.
