How is Rajasthan Governor Reviewing Welfare Schemes for Inclusive Development?

Jaipur, July 24 (NationPress) The Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagde, held a crucial meeting with administrative officials at the Collectorate Auditorium in Balotra on Thursday. During this district-level review, the Governor highlighted the imperative to link the most disadvantaged members of society with essential government welfare programs, urging officials to guarantee that no eligible beneficiary is overlooked.

The Governor asserted that the advantages of both Central and state government initiatives must reach every individual, emphasizing that true empowerment stems from elevating the most marginalized groups, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.

Throughout the meeting, he assessed the progress of vital welfare initiatives such as the Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swamitva Yojana, MNREGA, Chief Minister Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan, Kusum Yojana, Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan, Rajivika (National Rural Livelihood Mission), Dairy Development, and programs under the Cooperative Department.

He directed officials to prioritize the prompt and effective execution of these schemes, especially in the areas of housing and livelihood.

Shifting focus to education, Governor Bagde stressed the significance of implementing the New Education Policy while ensuring equal emphasis on both intellectual and physical development of children. He inquired about the availability of playgrounds in schools and advocated for the expansion of gymnasiums and sports facilities in hostels to foster holistic growth among students.

On the topic of environmental conservation, the Governor called for the proactive execution of Mission Hariyalo Rajasthan. He highlighted that tree planting initiatives should include adequate care and maintenance, prioritizing the planting of water-efficient species to support environmental balance and water conservation.

While evaluating the Chief Minister Jal Swavalamban Yojana, he stressed adopting local water harvesting methods and ensuring rainwater conservation at the village level. He also instructed officials to achieve 100% rural household coverage under the Jal Jeevan Mission, deeming it one of the most crucial programs initiated by the Central government.

The Governor also underscored the necessity of empowering women through self-help groups under the Rajivika Scheme. He called for the reactivation of dormant groups and the promotion of local products to access larger markets.

Furthermore, he directed the Agriculture Department to engage more farmers in soil testing initiatives, encourage scientific farming techniques, boost crop insurance registrations, promote the construction of farm ponds, and provide technical assistance to improve agricultural yield and income. Advocating for organic farming, he requested enhanced waste disposal systems and increased availability of organic fertilizers for farmers, ensuring benefits for both agriculture and sanitation.

As the meeting concluded, Governor Bagde urged district officials to consistently monitor the on-ground implementation of welfare schemes and ensure their tangible impact. He emphasized that government programs should manifest in the lives of the people, rather than remaining confined to official documentation.

Earlier in the day, the Governor participated in a tree planting activity, urging citizens to embrace responsibility for both planting and nurturing trees as part of their environmental commitment.
