Jaipur, Nov 26 (NationPress) Rajasthan has reached a significant benchmark in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) - 2026 of electoral rolls, establishing itself as the leading state in digitisation among the ten largest states.

The revision initiative, supervised by the Election Commission of India from November 4 to December 4, 2025, is currently in progress across twelve states and union territories.

Under the guidance of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Naveen Mahajan, Rajasthan has successfully accomplished 83 percent of the SIR tasks to date. Out of 54.6 million counting forms, over 45.5 million have been uploaded onto the ECI-Net, even with eight days left in the timeline. This remarkable advancement stems from technical proficiency, collaborative efforts, and stringent district-level oversight.

CEO Mahajan acknowledged that booth-level officers (BLOs) have been instrumental in facilitating swift progress. Across more than 6,000 polling booths statewide, BLOs have successfully completed 100 percent of their designated responsibilities.

To appreciate their outstanding contributions, around 2,500 BLOs have been recognized, including 516 at the state level by the CEO, and roughly 2,000 by District Election Officers.

Furthermore, 26 Election Registration Officers (EROs) who excelled during the SIR process will receive accolades at the state level on Thursday. Barmer district has emerged as the top achiever, accomplishing 100 percent completion at 574 polling stations. Balotra has reached 100 percent at 357 stations, while Churu has also succeeded with 285 stations.

At the constituency level, 100 percent completion has been noted at 207 booths in Gudhamalani, 191 in Baytu, and 157 in Bari.

Mahajan shared that the Election Commission of India has rolled out new functionalities for the verification and unmapping of digitized forms via the BLO App. BLOs now have the capability to unmap a voter and update the mapping option using the Unmap the Elector feature.

He elaborated that some voters, unaware of previous SIR details, had submitted forms without accurate mapping.

Thanks to the newly introduced Search by Name feature, numerous voter records from earlier SIRs have been identified. In such instances, updating the mapping option will assist in preventing these voters from needing to resubmit documents during the ongoing SIR process.
