Jaipur, Jan 13 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has made pivotal moves to boost industrial growth, secure energy independence, improve drinking water access, and generate job opportunities for the youth.
Land allotments have been approved for the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) to establish the Rajasthan Petrozone and new industrial zones, for the Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Limited for a solar energy initiative, and for a comprehensive Chambal River-based drinking water scheme.
As part of the 2024-25 budget announcements, Sharma has sanctioned 74.50 hectares in Sindhiyon Ki Dhani village and 102 hectares in Khemababa Nagar village of Pachpadra Tehsil (Balotra) to RIICO. This lays the foundation for the Rajasthan Petrozone near the Pachpadra Refinery, with operations expected to commence shortly.
Moreover, Sharma has allocated 31 hectares in Piplund village, Jahazpur Tehsil of Bhilwara district, for a new industrial area under RIICO's development strategy for 2024-25.
In the realm of renewable energy, 4,000 hectares of government land in Bodana village, Nachana Tehsil of Jaisalmer district, have been designated for the Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company Limited. This initiative will support the establishment of a 2,000 MW solar power project, aligning with the state's commitment to clean energy.
Additionally, as part of the budget announcement, 221 hectares of land encompassing the villages of Panchauli, Dargawan, Ferozepur, and Markakua in Mandrayal Tehsil (Karauli district) have been approved for a water reservoir. This reservoir will bolster the implementation of the Chambal-Sawai Madhopur-Karauli-Nadauti-Gangapur City drinking water project, ensuring a steady water supply to the area.
In fulfillment of the budget announcements regarding the Rajasthan Petrozone near the Pachpadra Refinery, the Chief Minister has authorized the allocation of 74.50 hectares in Sindhiyon Ki Dhani and 102 hectares in Khemababa Nagar to RIICO. Consequently, the establishment of the Petrozone adjacent to the refinery is set to begin shortly, as indicated by officials.
