Jaipur, July 3 (NationPress) Senior IPS officer Rajeev Kumar Sharma officially assumed his role as the new Director General of Police (DGP) for Rajasthan on Thursday. The transition occurred during a ceremony at the Police Headquarters in the city.

Upon taking office, DGP Sharma addressed the press, outlining his vision for the Rajasthan Police.

He highlighted the department’s rich traditions and expressed a strong commitment to enhancing its legacy, particularly in accordance with its motto: “Trust in the common man, fear in the criminals.”

“We have been entrusted by the government to serve the public, and we must do so with utmost loyalty and dedication,” he stated.

DGP Sharma conveyed his appreciation to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and the state government for their confidence in him. He emphasized that every citizen should access police services efficiently at their local police stations, and that police personnel must conduct themselves with courtesy and respect.
