Patna, Oct 20 (NationPress) Anant Kumar Singh, a leader from Janata Dal (United) and the candidate for Bihar's Mokama Assembly seat, is radiating confidence about his electoral success, claiming that the backing of the public will once again secure his victory. Issuing a direct challenge to his opponent from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Singh emphasized his extensive experience in elections spanning over two decades, firmly believing in another triumph.
The contest in Mokama features a notable showdown between the formidable Anant Singh and Veena Devi, the spouse of Suraj Bhan Singh.
In an interview with IANS, Singh declared, “Suraj Bhan Singh is facing a significant challenge from me; I have been in the electoral fray for 20-25 years. He has faced defeat every single time and will certainly lose again this time.”
Addressing concerns about potential violence or intimidation during the elections, Singh remarked, “I believe there is no such possibility.”
He also criticized the RJD and Congress's ongoing disputes over candidate nominations, stating, “I’ve heard that both parties are fielding their own candidates in seven constituencies. Their alliance has crumbled.”
Furthermore, he condemned the RJD for nominating Osama Shahab, the son of Mohammad Shahabuddin, as a candidate.
Accusing the RJD of attempting to reinstate the era of “jungle raj” in Bihar, Singh asserted, “They aim for jungle raj, but that will never materialize.”
He also took a swing at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, stating, “If Lalu Yadav were not present, Tejashwi would be unknown. He lacks personal qualities and is recognized solely as Lalu's son.”
Highlighting his strong bond with the electorate, Singh remarked, “We coexist with the public, which explains their affection for us.”
On the topic of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he mentioned, “Nitish Kumar once aimed to appoint me as a minister, but I expressed my desire to only accept what the public grants me. This time, I’ll reconsider. If the public suggests I should become a minister, I will. The people cherish me, and I reciprocate that love.”
When queried about Mukesh Sahni, president of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), Singh suggested, “He should join my party. We respect all individuals, and we will welcome him.”
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Singh stated, “He is a commendable leader and is fostering development in Bihar. The state has witnessed remarkable changes compared to before, with numerous roads and bridges constructed. Under PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar is advancing on the development trajectory.”
