Bengaluru, Nov 17 (NationPress) The police in Karnataka have issued a formal notice to a Kannada actress, requesting her presence along with evidence and documents related to her allegations against an industrialist who stands accused of sexually harassing her. The actress had previously filed a police report against industrialist Arvind Reddy.

The authorities mentioned that they will interrogate her about the duration of her acquaintance with the accused, the specifics of the harassment she alleges he inflicted upon her, and the financial gifts she claims were given by Arvind Reddy. Additionally, they have requested the actress to provide documentation to substantiate her claims.

Last week, the Govindarajnagar police arrested the accused industrialist, who later secured bail from the court. The actress has stated that following their break-up, the accused initiated a smear campaign against her. Despite her efforts to distance herself, he allegedly compelled her to continue their relationship. She further asserted that he defamed her to her family and subjected her to sexual harassment.

In response, the industrialist asserted that they had been in a live-in relationship for two years, during which he presented her with a luxury car, a plot of land, and a residence worth Rs 5 crore. He claimed that when he proposed marriage, she reacted with hostility and began making accusations, alleging that she was involved with another individual.

The actress refuted these claims, stating she had not accepted any lavish gifts from him and had also contributed financially to their relationship. She explained that she chose to end their association due to his lack of emotional support and frequent travels abroad without notice. Ultimately, she decided to leave when he stopped responding to her calls for several months.

Upon her announcement of the break-up, the accused reportedly threatened her, indicating he would disclose personal information to her family and disseminate details about her on social media.

The accused industrialist is known for his reputable real estate firm and previously owned a cricket team that competed in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL). He also has a history of film production and organizing events featuring various actors and actresses. The actress was introduced to him approximately two years ago.
