Kolkata, Dec 26 (NationPress) Abhishek Banerjee, General Secretary of the Trinamool Congress and Lok Sabha MP, emphasized the need for party leaders and workers at all levels to abandon any sense of arrogance tied to their affiliation with the ruling party. He stressed the importance of engaging with the general populace with humility in their demeanor.
During a virtual meeting, he addressed a gathering of 5,000 party officials and booth-level agents (BLAs) involved in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the state.
A party leader who attended the session noted that Banerjee issued a warning to ensure that the actions of party members do not foster any negative perceptions among the electorate as the critical Assembly elections approach next year.
Banerjee particularly urged his party members to exhibit behavior that reflects the enduring political struggle of Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal.
Furthermore, Banerjee outlined that two concurrent initiatives will persist for the upcoming months leading up to the finalization of the voters’ list in February. While the BLAs and their coordinators concentrate on the SIR tasks, especially regarding claims and objections to the draft voters’ list, other party workers will carry out outreach efforts showcasing how various welfare programs have positively impacted the lives of ordinary citizens, particularly those from marginalized communities.
Abhishek Banerjee is set to conduct another virtual meeting addressing a larger audience on December 28, where he is anticipated to provide deeper insights into the party’s Assembly election campaign.
