Shimla, September 3 (NationPress) - A tragic landslide in Sundernagar, located in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, claimed the lives of six individuals, including four family members, as reported by local authorities on Wednesday.
Rescue teams discovered five bodies under the rubble. The victims have been identified as Gurpreet Singh (35), his daughter Kirat (3), his wife Bharti (30), Shanti Devi (70), and Surender Kaur (56).
The sixth individual, who was passing by on a scooter when the landslide occurred, remains unaccounted for.
Mandi Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan informed the press that rescue operations are actively being conducted by teams from the police, State Disaster Response Force, and National Disaster Response Force.
