Chennai, Aug 31 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is currently on an official trip to Germany, where he will spearhead a significant investment conclave in Dusseldorf on September 1 (Monday). During this event, he is set to engage with global investors and industrial leaders.
The conclave is anticipated to yield vital investment announcements and the establishment of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) intended to enhance Tamil Nadu’s industrial landscape.
As stated, Stalin will also conduct a series of one-on-one discussions with key corporations interested in either initiating or expanding their operations in Tamil Nadu. This conclave is part of the state government's broader initiative to draw substantial foreign investments and reinforce Tamil Nadu’s status as India's most industrialized region.
On Sunday, he will oversee a major diaspora gathering in Dusseldorf, which is expected to unite numerous members of the Tamil community from across Europe, complemented by cultural showcases organized by Tamil associations. Several Tamil Sangams will also receive recognition for their efforts in maintaining Tamil identity and promoting the state's heritage abroad.
Chief Minister Stalin arrived in Dusseldorf on August 30, marking the start of an eight-day tour that will span both Germany and the United Kingdom. He received a warm welcome at Dusseldorf International Airport from Anja de Werth from the Protocol Division, Consular Affairs, representing Minister-President Hendrik Wust.
Prominent Indian diplomats, including Abhishek Dubey, Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of India in Berlin, and Vibha Kant Sharma, Acting Consul General of India in Frankfurt, were also present. Moreover, hundreds of diaspora members, including families and community leaders, warmly welcomed Stalin at the airport, highlighting the deep connections between Tamil Nadu and its international communities.
During his time in Germany, he will also meet with Hendrik Wust, Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation between two of the world’s most industrially developed regions.
After concluding his engagements in Germany, Stalin will proceed to the United Kingdom, where he will participate in a series of investor meetings, engage with academic institutions, and interact with Tamil diaspora organizations to further amplify the state’s global investment and cultural outreach.
