Motihari, July 19 (NationPress) During his visit to Bihar’s Motihari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Swami Shakti Sharananand Saraswati Maharaj, who commended the Prime Minister for his significant contributions to India as well as his relentless pursuit of global peace and unity. He noted that PM Modi's ideologies embody the principles of Lord Ram.
In an interview with IANS, Swami Shakti Sharananand Saraswati expressed admiration for PM Modi's dedication to social equity, highlighting him as a leader who does not discriminate based on caste, religion, or status.
“The Prime Minister has contributed significantly to India and continues to strive for world peace. His thoughts mirror the values of Lord Ram. Even in such a prestigious role, his humility is truly motivational,” he stated.
The spiritual leader further remarked, “PM Modi's saintly demeanor and inclusive vision distinguish him. He is not only a ruler but also a spiritual figure. We have blessed him to become ‘Vishwa Guru’ (world teacher). His remarkable charisma and determination are evident in his unwavering service to the nation.”
During their interaction, Swami Shakti Sharananand Saraswati and his entourage presented several symbolic gifts to the Prime Minister, including a cow with a calf adorned in golden stones, a book, a traditional Madhubani painting, and a Rudraksha garland.
In response, the Prime Minister honored Swami Shakti Sharananand Saraswati with a ‘chadar’—a traditional mark of respect.
The Swami shared his thoughts on PM Modi’s heartfelt reaction, saying, “He was genuinely pleased to receive our gifts. The joy on his face reflected true humility. It is uncommon to find such simplicity in someone in such a powerful role. His act of sharing our photo together on social media demonstrates his greatness; he showed immense respect to someone like me from a small town. That defines his true character.”
On Friday, PM Modi shared several images of Swami Shakti Sharananand Saraswati and remarked, “I had the privilege of receiving blessings from Swami Shakti Sharananand Saraswati Ji Maharaj in Motihari today. His persona radiates brilliance and energy, while his words are rich in spirituality. I am deeply moved by Maharaj Ji's warmth, affection, and guidance!”
Earlier that day, PM Modi addressed a large assembly at Gandhi Maidan in Motihari, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation for development initiatives worth over Rs 7,217 crore. These projects encompass various sectors, including infrastructure, transport, and public welfare.
As part of the ceremony, he also flagged off four Amrit Bharat trains, which will significantly enhance rail connectivity in the region. The new trains are anticipated to improve passenger comfort and connectivity in underserved areas of Bihar.
In a significant effort to boost youth employment, the Prime Minister introduced a new scheme, providing Rs 15,000 to individuals securing their first job in private companies. The scheme, set to launch on August 1, has a budget allocation of Rs 1 lakh crore.
