Patna, May 20 (NationPress) The Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, has reached out to Union Home Minister Amit Shah through a letter, advocating for equal respect, recognition, and benefits for paramilitary forces, similar to those provided to the Indian Armed Forces.
In his correspondence dated May 14, which he publicly shared on the social media platform X on Tuesday, Tejashwi underscored the vital contributions of forces such as the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Assam Rifles (AR) in preserving internal security, combating terrorism, and securing the nation’s borders.
Tejashwi pointed out, “While these personnel often make the ultimate sacrifice, their compensation, respect, and welfare measures are not equivalent to those received by the Army, Navy, and Air Force.”
