New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) As Bihar eagerly anticipates the outcome of the Assembly elections, the political environment is filled with excitement. RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari confidently predicts that the electoral mandate will lead to the formation of Tejashwi Yadav’s government, celebrating what he refers to as Bihar's long-awaited moment as counting kicks off this Friday.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has established extensive arrangements for counting votes in all 243 Assembly constituencies, marking a pivotal day for the state’s political landscape.

Tiwari expressed unwavering confidence in the Mahagathbandhan’s prospects, asserting that a governmental shift is on the horizon.

“The moment Bihar has been waiting for is finally here. We will triumph, I am completely assured. Whatever speculations have been made, the results today will favor us. The Nitish government is on its way out; its time has ended, and the new administration of the Mahagathbandhan under Tejashwi Yadav is about to take shape…” Tiwari told IANS, emphasizing that voters have cast their ballots with intention.

Adding to the optimism from the opposition alliance, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) spokesperson Dev Jyoti voiced similar sentiments.

He stated, “All the underprivileged, the laborers, the lower-income groups, and those who adhere to Ambedkar’s ideology, their government is coming… By around 10, 10:30, or by 11 a.m., you will witness the Mahagathbandhan forming the government.” The VIP, part of the Mahagathbandhan, is anticipating a strong and clear lead in the early stages of counting.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has set up 4,372 counting tables across the state, each supervised by counting personnel, including a supervisor, assistant, and micro-observer. A total of 243 Returning Officers and an equal number of Counting Observers will oversee the counting process in the presence of candidates and their authorized representatives. Over 18,000 counting agents have been deployed to ensure transparency.

Counting will commence at 8:00 a.m. with postal ballots, followed by EVM counting at 8:30 a.m. All postal ballots must be counted prior to the concluding round of EVM counting.

EVM control units will be presented to counting agents for verification of seals and serial numbers as recorded in Form 17C. In the event of any discrepancies, VVPAT slips from the corresponding polling station will be counted. Additionally, five random polling stations per constituency will undergo VVPAT verification after EVM counting concludes.

Results will be announced round-wise and constituency-wise by the respective Returning Officers.

The ECI has urged the public and media to rely solely on the official results portal for verified updates, warning against misinformation from unofficial sources.
