Hyderabad, Oct 13 (NationPress) On the inaugural day for the Jubilee Hills Assembly bye-election slated for November 11, a total of ten nominations were submitted in Hyderabad.
The Returning Officer, P. Sairam, confirmed that 11 sets of nominations were received overall.
Among the candidates were two individuals representing smaller political parties.
The rest are Independent candidates.
Poosa Srinivas from the Telangana Rashtra Punahnirmana Samithi and Aravapalli Srinivasa Rao from the Navataram Party filed their nomination documents.
No representatives from national or regional parties participated on the first day.
The bye-election process commenced with the Returning Officer issuing a notification on Monday.
Candidates have until October 21 to submit their nominations.
Nomination scrutiny is scheduled for October 22, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until October 24.
Voting is set for November 11, with vote counting occurring on November 14.
