Hyderabad, July 20 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, has honored his commitment to singer Rahul Sipligunj, who performed the Oscar-winning track 'Naatu Naatu', by announcing a reward of Rs 1 crore.
This announcement was made during the 'Bonalu' festival celebrations on Sunday.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Rahul Sipligunj, hailing from the historic city of Hyderabad, gained global acclaim with the Oscar accolade for the song featured in 'RRR'.
Revanth Reddy praised Sipligunj as a symbol of inspiration for the youth of Telangana, highlighting his journey of success through sheer determination.
Earlier in May 2023, when he was the president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Party, Revanth Reddy had pledged a Rs 10 lakh reward for Sipligunj on behalf of the party and assured that he would be awarded Rs 1 crore once the Congress party came into power, acknowledging the honor he brought to the state with the Oscar-winning song.
