Hyderabad, May 12 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, along with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, paid homage to cricket superstar Virat Kohli on the occasion of his retirement from Test Cricket.

CM Revanth Reddy remarked that Kohli's journey in Test Cricket is nothing short of legendary and will be remembered for his significant contributions to Team India.

“His passion, relentless pursuit of excellence, and embodiment of perfection have inspired an entire generation of cricket aficionados,” the Chief Minister shared in a post on X.

Andhra Pradesh's CM Chandrababu Naidu also expressed his admiration for the esteemed batsman on X.

“Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test Cricket signifies the end of an extraordinary chapter in Indian sports. His unwavering dedication, discipline, and leadership have motivated countless individuals and instilled immense pride in our nation. I wish him all the best as he transitions into the next phase of his career,” CM Naidu stated.

“A legend bids farewell to the purest format of the game,” commented Naidu’s son, the state Minister for Human Resources Development and Information Technology.

Lokesh noted that Kohli’s passion, intensity, and unparalleled dedication have redefined India’s Test Cricket heritage.

“An inspiration to millions of aspiring cricketers globally — thank you for raising the bar of the game and making us proud consistently. Few have shouldered the weight of expectations with such elegance and delivered with unwavering consistency,” he added.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party leader, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, hailed Virat Kohli as one of the greatest Indian cricketers to have ever played the game.

“Watching him play has always been captivating. His passion, consistency, and relentless pursuit of greatness are unparalleled. His records resonate louder than words, and his legacy will continue to motivate future generations. I wish him ongoing success in his upcoming endeavors,” Jagan Reddy posted.

Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, remarked that a glorious era in Indian Test Cricket has drawn to a close.
