New Delhi, July 20 (NationPress) Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju will lead an all-party gathering on Sunday to prepare for the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, scheduled to begin on Monday, July 21.
The session will convene at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Committee Room of the Parliament House Annexe.
This traditional pre-session assembly aims to enhance collaboration and coordination among all political factions to ensure effective and efficient operations of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha during the forthcoming session.
Invitations have been extended to the floor leaders of all significant political parties in Parliament.
During this meeting, the central government is anticipated to unveil its legislative agenda and seek consensus on pivotal topics for discussion during the session.
As per official reports, the Monsoon Session will span from July 21 to August 21, featuring 21 sittings. Notably, no sittings are planned from August 12 to August 18.
Earlier, Minister Rijiju addressed the media, asserting that the government is thoroughly ready to deliberate on crucial national issues and pending legislation. “Parliament is on the verge of commencing. Any matter that arises in Parliament will be addressed. I had a productive meeting with Kharge ji and Rahul ji yesterday. I consistently engage with leaders from other opposition parties. As a parliamentary minister, it is my duty to ensure coordination with all,” he stated.
Among the significant bills expected to be discussed in this session are the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025, the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, and the Merchant Shipping Bill, 2024. In total, seven pending bills have been earmarked for consideration and passage, while eight additional bills are proposed for discussion restoration.
