New Delhi, Oct 11 (NationPress) Union ministers expressed their appreciation on Saturday for the unveiling of agricultural initiatives valued at over Rs 42,000 crore by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They emphasized that these programs will inject fresh energy and significant potential into the farming community.
Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan referred to the newly introduced schemes as a historic boon for agriculture and farmers, indicating that this initiative will instill new hope in the lives of the agricultural class.
“Today, PM Modi inaugurated the 'Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana' and 'Pulses Self-Reliance Mission' from the Pusa campus in New Delhi, bestowing projects related to agriculture and allied sectors worth more than Rs 42,000 crore upon our farmer brothers and sisters,” Chouhan stated in a post on his X account.
He elaborated, “This is a historic gift for agriculture and farmers... This initiative will instill new hope, fresh energy, and tremendous potential in the lives of our food producers.”
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for this announcement.

Moreover, the Union Minister mentioned that PM Modi on Saturday reaffirmed his dedication to farmer welfare, agricultural self-reliance, and enhancing rural infrastructure by laying the foundation stone for projects valued at over Rs 42,000 crore in agriculture and allied sectors.
Puri mentioned that the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana aims to boost agricultural productivity, encourage crop diversification, and promote sustainable farming practices. It will also enhance post-harvest storage capacity at the panchayat and block levels, improve irrigation facilities, and ensure the availability of both long-term and short-term loans in 100 selected districts.
