Lucknow, Feb 25 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brajesh Pathak, stated on Tuesday that the Samajwadi Party (SP) will be entirely eliminated in the near future as the public will reject their criminal activities.
While addressing the media, he asserted: "During their governance in Uttar Pradesh, the actions of SP leaders resembled those of 'Kans', 'Duryodhan', and 'Ravana'. The state suffered through over 1,000 riots, rampant hooliganism, and numerous crimes against women during the SP’s regime."
Deputy CM Pathak made these remarks in reaction to a controversial statement made by the Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey, regarding Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Pandey had claimed that CM Adityanath feared SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and his party in a manner akin to how Kansa feared Lord Krishna.
Earlier on Monday, while discussing the Governor's address in the UP Assembly, CM Adityanath criticized the Opposition for their queries regarding the arrangements for the Maha Kumbh, stating: "Everyone received what they sought during the Maha Kumbh."
"Vultures beheld the corpse, pigs encountered filth, sensitive individuals witnessed a beautiful tapestry of relationships, believers found virtue, gentlemen encountered nobility, the affluent found business opportunities, the impoverished found employment, and devotees connected with God. How can socialists and leftists appreciate the elegance of Sanatan?" the Chief Minister queried.
He also criticized the Opposition for their attempts to belittle the Maha Kumbh, saying, "They first mock, then oppose, and ultimately accept... SP chief Akhilesh Yadav visited Prayagraj and took a holy dip at the Sangam, demonstrating his acknowledgment of the event."
"When we were advocating for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the SP derided it, opposed it, and later accepted it. The Opposition would question whether we would construct the Ram temple and if we would succeed, protesting it only to eventually claim that Ram belongs to everyone," he asserted.
