Lucknow, Dec 28 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Sunday that every police officer and personnel should embrace Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of smart policing as their guiding principle.
While addressing the Senior Police Officers Conference ‘Police Manthan-2025’, the Chief Minister remarked, “PM Modi has provided the country with a vision of smart policing. It must be Strict and Sensitive, Modern and Mobile, Alert and Accountable, Reliable and Responsive, Tech-Savvy and Trained… Every police officer and personnel should adopt this as their life’s mantra.”
Commending UP Police for reinforcing the rule of law in the state, CM Adityanath noted, “It is due to the rule of law that citizens of the nation’s most populous state – representing nearly half of the country’s total population – are experiencing a heightened sense of security compared to the previous atmosphere of insecurity.”
“We must evolve to uphold the rule of law and address future challenges,” emphasized CM Adityanath.
He asserted that the dialogues conducted over the two-day conference would be pivotal in achieving the objectives of PM Modi’s 'Smart Policing' initiative and 'Vision 2047-Developed and Self-Reliant India'.
“What type of modern, sensitive, and effective police system is necessary? The roadmap created during these two days is crucial in this regard,” the CM stated, proposing that this conference should be held annually to establish a permanent platform.
CM Adityanath highlighted that the thoughts, experiences, and recommendations shared by around 55 speakers across 11 sessions would serve as a significant milestone in making the Uttar Pradesh Police more modern, sensitive, technology-driven, and based on public trust.
The Chief Minister praised the Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, along with all police personnel involved in the conference, for this impactful event.
He also honored police officers and personnel from the state with the 'Chief Minister Excellence Award'.
CM Adityanath mentioned that alongside other initiatives in the state, efforts should also include providing scooters to female beat officers associated with ‘Mission Shakti’ to expedite this program. “This is the need of the hour,” he asserted.
He pointed out that the conference has generated suggestions for enhancing police infrastructure. “In various districts, we have replaced barracks with high-rise buildings for staff,” he stated.
“We are dedicated to facilitating change. Upon taking office in the state, there were 10 districts where the establishment of police lines had been stalled for over two decades. However, we allocated funds and initiated the reconstitution of Provisional Armed Constabulary (PAC) battalions, including all-women units,” he concluded.
