New Delhi, Nov 11 (NationPress) A young man hailing from Gadarpur in Uttarakhand’s Udham Singh Nagar district was among the casualties of the blast that occurred near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station. The individual injured has been identified as 28-year-old Harshul Setia.
As per the details gathered, Harshul, the son of Sanjeev Setia, resides in Saraswati Vihar Colony, Gadarpur. His father mentioned that Harshul is set to marry in February. He had made the trip to Delhi along with his mother, brother, and fiancée for wedding shopping. They were in a lane across from the explosion site when a fragment of glass from the blast struck Harshul on the head.
Sanjeev Setia reported that he received a call last night informing him about his son's injury. He confirmed that Harshul is now safe and in stable condition. Following the guidance of security agencies, he refrained from making any further comments.
Sanjeev plans to travel to Delhi to bring his son and family back home. Once Harshul is discharged from LNJP Hospital, the family will return to Gadarpur, where Harshul will meet with the media.
In the meantime, the white Hyundai i20 involved in the incident had been parked outside a mosque on Netaji Subhash Marg in Delhi for nearly two hours prior to the explosion, according to sources.
Authorities have managed to trace the vehicle's route using CCTV footage from the area.
The blast happened around 7 p.m., as reported by the police. The vehicle had taken a U-turn near the Old Delhi Railway Station before heading towards Lower Subhash Marg.
