How Did VP Dhankhar Compare Operation Sindoor to the US Forces' Osama Bin Laden Hit?

New Delhi, May 17 (NationPress) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday for the triumph of Operation Sindoor, comparing the obliteration of terror strongholds in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to the takedown of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by US forces in Abbottabad back in 2011.

During his address at the Annual Convocation of the Jaipuria Institute of Management at Bharat Mandapam, Dhankhar applauded PM Modi and the Indian Armed Forces for their success in Operation Sindoor, stating, “This was a significant response that reflects our commitment to peace and tranquility... Bharat has achieved this and made the global community aware.”

“Justice has been served by Bharat to those who threaten our peace,” he noted, emphasizing it as India’s most profound cross-border operation, executed with utmost care to ensure no collateral damage, except to the terrorists themselves.

While refraining from naming bin Laden directly, the Vice President pointed out that the strikes of Operation Sindoor occurred in May, just like the killing of a “global terrorist who orchestrated the September 11 attacks in the US in 2001” on May 2, 2011, stating he was “handled” by US forces “in a similar manner.”

He described the recent Pahalgam terror assault as the “most catastrophic” attack on civilians since the infamous 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Dhankhar remarked that PM Modi conveyed a strong message from Bihar to the global community, asserting, “These were not mere words; the world has acknowledged the reality of what was said.”

In the context of warfare and counter-terrorism, a new standard has been established, where the Indian armed forces targeted Jaish-e-Mohammed at Bahawalpur deep within Pakistani territory and also the Lashkar-e-Taiba base in Muridke.

The Vice President also criticized Congress leaders who demanded evidence of the surgical strike following the Uri attack. “No one is asking for proof now. The world has observed and recognized the situation, as coffins are returned accompanied by armed forces and political leaders,” he stated.

Earlier, he praised the optimistic environment fostered by the government’s supportive policies, which promise a brighter future for the graduating students.

“Fortunately for you, unlike my generation, there exists an environment of hope and possibilities in the country,” he asserted.

“You possess a supportive ecosystem and government policies that allow you to fully realize your talents and aspirations,” he added.

He encouraged students to keep learning, emphasizing that graduation does not signify the end of education. “Always strive to be a good learner and master the art of self-education,” he advised.
