New Delhi, April 19 (NationPress) Head coach Crispin Chettri has revealed a roster of 39 potential players for the Indian senior women’s team as they gear up for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers in Chiang Mai, Thailand, scheduled from June 23 to July 5. The Blue Tigresses will compete in Group B, facing the host nation Thailand along with Mongolia, Timor Leste, and Iraq.
The training camp for the senior women's team will kick off on May 1 at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru, as announced by the All-India Football Federation (AIFF).
With 34 teams vying for eight spots in this prestigious tournament, they aim to join the hosts Australia and the top three teams from the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 - defending champions China, runners-up Korea Republic, and third-placed Japan.
