Surat, Dec 28 (NationPress) Following their impressive victories in the semi-finals, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy and Army Boys Sports Company have secured their places in the finals of the 3rd Hockey India Sub Junior Men Academy Championship 2025 - Zone A & B, which is taking place at the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Hockey Ground in Surat, Gujarat, on Sunday.

In the first semi-final, Army Boys Sports Company triumphed over Ritu Rani Hockey Academy with a score of 5-1. Arjun showcased an outstanding performance, scoring a hat-trick at 25’, 37’, and 39’. Additional goals were contributed by Shubham Sanjay Shinde at 44’ and Arkit Barua at 58’, ensuring their advance to the final. Sandeep Singh netted the only goal for Ritu Rani Hockey Academy at 45’.

In the second semi-final, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy emerged victorious in a thrilling penalty shootout against Sail Hockey Academy. Sanmukh Singh scored for Roundglass at 57’, while Mohmad Shahid equalized for Sail at 30’. After a 1-1 draw in regular time, Roundglass clinched the win with a penalty shootout score of 3-2.

Earlier in the tournament, Roundglass Hockey Academy achieved a staggering 19-0 win against Cheema Hockey Academy in their Pool A match. Inderjit Singh shone with a hat-trick at 13’, 30’, and 45’. Captain Arshpreet Singh scored at 4’ and 14’, while Anurag Singh also impressed with two goals at 9’ and 10’. Other contributors included Om Rajnesh Saini (36’, 39’), Gurwinder Singh (2’, 48’), and Varinder Singh (59’, 60’), all of whom helped secure the victory. Additional goals came from Sukhpreet Singh (19’), Prince Singh (51’), Jarman Singh (55’), Sunny (7’), Sukhmanpreet Singh (5’), and Amandeep (5’).

In Pool A, Army Boys Sports Company also defeated Cheema Hockey Academy with a score of 6-1 on Thursday. Goals were scored by Bara Chhitij (1’, 4’), Venkateswara Kolnati Rao (22’, 47’), K.T. Aiyappa Linith (7’), and R.P. Rithveesh (57’). Harmanjot Singh scored the sole goal for Cheema Hockey Academy.

The Ritu Rani Hockey Academy will compete against Sail Hockey Academy for third place, while the final match will feature Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy against Army Boys Sports Company on Monday.
