New Delhi, Jan 15 (NationPress) Veteran all-rounder Ellyse Perry expressed that the Australian team is highly motivated to deliver a comprehensive performance with the bat in their upcoming third and final women’s Ashes ODI against England, scheduled to take place in Hobart this Friday.

Australia currently holds a 4-0 advantage in the points-based women’s Ashes series after their bowlers successfully defended 180 runs against England on a challenging Junction Oval pitch, with Ellyse contributing significantly by scoring 60 runs from 74 balls.

“In the last couple of matches, both wickets we played on have favored spin and presented challenges. However, there were moments in both innings where we could have been more aggressive and applied pressure on England,” she stated.

“We’ve discussed this, and this Friday presents an excellent opportunity for us to play as positively as possible. This is our final 50-over match in this multi-format series, and our aim is to achieve a complete performance.”

“We’ll analyze the pitch, but I believe Bellerive is conducive to exciting cricket. We’ve played numerous T20 matches here, whether in the Big Bash or international fixtures, and it's consistently a high-scoring venue with a quick outfield,” Ellyse noted, as reported by cricket.com.au during a press interaction at the Hobart airport.

She also mentioned that Australia will review their successful batting displays that led to series victories over India and New Zealand. “We will reflect on our recent games, but we are focused on a particular style of play that we’ve been pursuing, and we’ve discussed this extensively,” she added.

“The emphasis has been on how we want to approach the game, irrespective of the opponent. Friday presents another chance for us to set a strong benchmark and perform our roles effectively both individually and as a team,” she concluded.
