Chennai, Oct 7 (NationPress) Services boxers showcased their supremacy on the national stage as the men’s segment of the inaugural BFI Cup 2025 wrapped up in Chennai on Tuesday. Acclaimed athletes including Vishwanath, Husamuddin, Vanshaj, Sachin, and Ankush clinched gold medals.

Asian U-22 champion S. Vishwanath kicked off the proceedings for Services with an impressive 5:0 victory against Ashish (Haryana) in the (47–50kg) category, while Ashish (Services) narrowly defeated Navraj (AIP) 3:2 in a thrilling final of the (50–55kg) weight class. World Championships bronze medallist Mohammad Husamuddin (Services) maintained his excellent form, besting Sagar Jakhar (SAI) with a flawless 5:0 scoreline in the (55–60kg) bout. In the (60–65kg) category, Vanshaj (Services) triumphed over his teammate Preet Malik (Services) with a close 3:2 decision, while Sumit Kumar (SAI) dominated in the (65–70kg) final against Rajat (Services) with a 5:0 win.
