London, Dec 8 (NationPress) Following a successful home trial series this past summer, the England men’s mixed disability team is set to embark on their inaugural overseas tour to India in January 2026. The selectors have announced a robust squad of 15 players, featuring four newcomers who previously triumphed over the same team with a score of 6-1 during the first series of mixed disability international cricket in 2025.

Continuing his role as captain, Callum Flynn will lead the squad, which includes first-time call-ups for Jonathan Gale, Alex Hammond, Tom Meskell, and Jake Vosloo. Notably, if Jake Vosloo plays in India, he will make history as the youngest participant in Mixed Disability international cricket at just 16 years of age, as stated by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in a release on Monday.

The team is scheduled to partake in a five-match IT20 series at the end of January and the beginning of February.

According to Ian Martin, Head of Disability Cricket: “We were greatly encouraged by last summer’s trial series against India, and it’s clear that there is a growing global interest in Mixed Disability cricket.

“We acknowledged the challenges faced by many international boards in consistently and adequately supporting their disability teams when we launched last summer’s series, and we firmly believe that Mixed Disability cricket will serve as a vehicle to propel the disability game forward. We are hearing many positive responses from other boards, and we anticipate more Mixed Disability international series in the future.

“We’re thrilled to reciprocate India’s visit to the UK with our first overseas tour and look forward to a competitive and engaging series against a team that will undoubtedly provide a formidable challenge. It’s exciting to see four fresh faces in the squad, and I’m confident they will strive to secure their position in the playing XI.”
