Dubai, Nov 13 (NationPress) All-rounder Esha Oza is set to captain the UAE women’s squad during their journey to Thailand for the inaugural ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy in 2025.
Eight teams will vie for victory in this T20 tournament, which adopts a single-league format where each team will compete against all others once. Matches will take place at the Terdthai Cricket Ground (TCG) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Ground.
Alongside the hosts, Thailand and the UAE, participating nations include Namibia, the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Scotland, Tanzania, and Uganda. The UAE will kick off their campaign against PNG on November 20, followed by a match against the Netherlands on November 21 at the AIT Ground. Their third match will be against Scotland at the TCG on November 23, and they will face Uganda at the AIT Ground on November 25.
Subsequently, the UAE will compete against Tanzania at the TCG on November 26, Thailand at the TCG on November 28, and Namibia at the AIT Ground on November 30.
The team that secures the top position in the standings will emerge as the tournament champions.
