New Delhi, Sep 29 (NationPress) BJP leaders throughout the nation celebrated India’s stunning victory against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final, viewing it as more than just a sporting achievement but a significant assertion of national pride. Senior BJP figure Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi spearheaded the responses, declaring the win as a strong message to a country that has historically backed terrorism.
“Our athletes not only excelled on the pitch but also delivered a decisive reply to Pakistan, a nation that has long supported terrorist activities. Today, our country has changed. We no longer accept terrorism while engaging in diplomatic relations,” Naqvi stated after India’s five-wicket victory in Dubai on Sunday.
India triumphed over Pakistan in a nail-biting final at the Dubai International Stadium, where Pakistan initially surged to 113/1 in 12.4 overs but then faced a dramatic downfall. Led by Kuldeep Yadav’s exceptional bowling performance of 4/30, India restricted Pakistan to just 146 runs in 19.1 overs. In response, India successfully chased down the target, with Tilak Varma scoring an unbeaten 69 and Shivam Dube providing late fireworks, clinching the victory with two balls remaining and securing their ninth Asia Cup title.
In response to the victory, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma expressed that the Indian team had once again upheld the nation’s dignity on the global stage.
“An Indian citizen stands for the unity and integrity of India, whether on the battlefield or the cricket field. We have defeated Pakistan numerous times,” Sharma remarked.
He also commended the Indian team’s courageous choice to decline the Asia Cup trophy and medals from ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, who also leads the Pakistan Cricket Board.
“We wanted to demonstrate to the world that we compete not for accolades, but for India's honor. We stand on the field for the chants of victory for our Motherland. India has claimed thousands of trophies and has been a world champion multiple times,” he added.
MLA Ratnakar Mishra also extended his congratulations to both the team and the nation.
“First and foremost, heartfelt congratulations to the Indian players who triumphed over Pakistan,” he stated.
The heartfelt responses from BJP leaders resonate with the wider national sentiment following India’s flawless campaign in the tournament and a commanding final performance that showcased skill, strategy, and symbolic defiance both on and off the field.
