Bengaluru, Jan 21 (NationPress) In a significant move, Bengaluru FC has appointed Renedy Singh as their new head coach ahead of the forthcoming Indian Super League (ISL) season, announced on Wednesday.

Following the exit of Gerard Zaragoza from the club on November 14 of last year, and with the ISL set to kick off on February 14 this year, the Bengaluru FC team aims to maintain its established culture and locker room dynamics by promoting Renedy Singh to the head coach position.

Renedy's deep understanding of the ISL and his previous experience as interim head coach for East Bengal during the 2021-22 season and the 2023-24 season at Bengaluru FC will be invaluable as he steers the team in the upcoming campaign.

Despite the brevity of his interim stints, Renedy gained a remarkable chance to enhance his coaching skills at the highest level of Indian football, showcasing his talent to communicate effectively with players under pressure.

In addition to his interim roles, Renedy Singh brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as a full-time head coach at NEROCA FC, where he adeptly led the team on a modest budget while focusing on organizational strength.

As a former midfielder for the Indian National Team, Renedy is well-prepared to take charge of Bengaluru FC in what promises to be a challenging ISL season.

Earlier, sports minister Mandaviya highlighted that all 14 clubs have committed to participating in this year's ISL, with further details to be revealed regarding the tournament's format, broadcasting platforms, and match venues. Once these particulars are finalized, teams will need to assemble their rosters and begin their preparations for the upcoming season.
