New Delhi, Aug 19 (NationPress) Suhl Junior World Cup 2025 champion Kanak Budhwar and Agam Grewal achieved a remarkable 1-2 finish for India in the 10m Air Pistol Youth Women event during the second day of the 16th Asian Shooting Championship Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
Kanak scored 238.2, earning the gold medal and showcasing her impressive season, while Agam Grewal secured the silver with a score of 236.0. The third Indian finalist, Gamberya V. Gowda, placed fifth with a score of 172.5.
The trio also achieved team gold, with Agam Grewal leading the qualification round at 577, followed by Kanak at 566 and Gamberya at 558. By the end of the second day, India had amassed seven medals, bolstered by Rashmika Sahgal’s gold and bronze medals from Manu Bhaker in the senior category.
In the finals, Kanak maintained her lead after 10 shots and continued to dominate until the 24th shot, concluding with a high score of 10.4. Agam, who was fourth after 12 shots, surged to silver with scores of 9.5 and 10.3 in subsequent rounds.
