Gwalior, Dec 2 (NationPress) Athlete from Roundglass Tennis Academy, Hitesh Chauhan, has successfully progressed to the second round of the ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour M15 tournament, currently taking place at the Chambal Tennis Association courts in Gwalior. The 17-year-old, who holds the title of Indian Junior Number 1, triumphed over Aditya Balsekar with a score of 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 in a fiercely contested three-set match.
On Tuesday, several other matches unfolded, including Ivan Lutkin's victory over India's Adityavardhan Duddupudi with a score of 7-5, 6-2; Abhinav Sanjeev Shanmugam defeating the fifth seed Ishaque Eqbal at 6-2, 7-5, while Parth Aggarwal faced a loss against Grigoriy Lomakin from Kazakhstan, concluding the match at 6-7, 0-6.
Wild card entry Sarthak Suden managed to best qualifier Freek Van Donselaar from the Netherlands in a hard-fought three-set match ending at 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. Meanwhile, Vivaan Bidasaria was defeated 6-2, 6-4 by Makar Krivoshchekov, and Raghav Jaisinghani won against fellow competitor Deep Munim with a score of 6-2, 6-2.
