This event marks the inaugural occasion where both the men's and women's National Championships are conducted concurrently at a single location, featuring 600 boxers from all over the nation competing across 10 weight categories for each gender.

In their semifinal matches, Jadumani claimed a convincing 5:0 victory over Amit Panghal, while Pawan Bartwal achieved a similar outcome against Victor Singh from Manipur.
