Ujjain Falcons returned to winning ways in the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026, defeating Bhopal Leopards by 16 runs at Holkar Stadium, Indore on 10 June 2026. In the second match of the day, Rewa Jaguars produced a commanding all-round display to beat Indore Pink Panthers by 31 runs at Daly College, Indore.

Falcons Post Formidable 195/8

Batting first, Ujjain Falcons posted 195/8 in 20 overs. Despite losing early wickets, Yash Dubey and Harshvardhan Hardia stabilised the innings with a 53-run partnership. Dubey contributed a fluent 54 off 31 balls before his dismissal triggered a brief middle-order wobble.

Madhav Tiwari — now the Orange Cap holder with 194 runs in four matches — took charge at the critical juncture, finishing unbeaten on 61 off 28 balls, including four sixes. Cameos from Ojaswa Yadav (15 off 10) and Rishi Miglani (15 off 9) provided the finishing thrust. For Bhopal, Himanshu Shinde was the standout bowler, returning figures of 2/2 from a single over.

Leopards Fall Short at 179/7

Chasing 196, Bhopal Leopards began promisingly with an opening stand of 60 runs. The innings lost momentum after Rahul Chandrol fell for a quickfire 31 off 13 balls. Top-scorer Tanishq Yadav made 42 off 27 before departing, and the Leopards eventually finished at 179/7 — 16 runs short of their target.

Tiwari completed a memorable all-round outing, claiming 2/26 with the ball. Aayush Mankar, who claimed the Purple Cap in the process, also impressed with figures of 2/25 from four overs.

Tiwari on the Comeback Win

Reflecting on the victory, Tiwari said: 'The most important thing for us was getting this win because it gives us the momentum we needed in the tournament. We started well, then had a few close losses, so it was important to bounce back strongly. The atmosphere in the dressing room remained positive throughout. Our coach, support staff, and management were very supportive, and everyone was focused on making a comeback.'

On his personal contribution, Tiwari added: 'While batting, my focus was on spending some time in the middle and understanding the wicket. Once I got settled, I was able to play my shots and finish the innings well. Most importantly, I'm happy that my contribution helped the team get over the line.'

Rewa Jaguars Cruise Past Indore Pink Panthers

In the day's second fixture, Rewa Jaguars posted a daunting 209/5 in 20 overs. After captain Prithviraj Singh Tomar (22) and Akshat Raghuwanshi (18) laid a steady foundation, wicketkeeper-batter Anant Verma anchored the innings with an unbeaten 71 off 37 balls, laced with four boundaries and five sixes. Sagar Solanki blazed a scintillating 60 off 28 balls — five fours and five sixes — to help Rewa cross the 200-run mark.

Chasing 210, Indore Pink Panthers were bowled out for 178 in 19.3 overs. Skipper Venkatesh Iyer, who has featured in 11 international matches for India in white-ball cricket, managed just 19 off 21 balls. Shivam Shukla offered resistance with 36 off 17, but the target proved beyond reach.

With the ball, Ankit Kushwaha led Rewa's attack with 3 wickets, while Ramveer Gujjar, Rohit Rajawat, and captain Prithviraj Singh Tomar chipped in with 2 wickets each to wrap up a 31-run win. The results leave the standings tightly contested as the tournament heads into its next round.
