Mumbai, Jan 24 (NationPress) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the women's team for the upcoming Test match against Australia, introducing a number of fresh talents into the Indian red-ball lineup, alongside the India A squad for the forthcoming ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup.

This Test squad features several new players compared to the lineup that last faced Australia nearly two years ago in Mumbai, back in December 2023. All-rounder Amanjot Kaur and ODI opener Pratika Rawal have received their first call-ups among the batting contingent, while bowlers Kranti Gaud, Vaishnavi Sharma, and Sayali Satghare are the latest additions to the Test roster.

“The Women's Selection Committee has finalized India's squad for the Test match against Australia Women, scheduled after the white-ball series. This match will be held at the WACA from March 6 to 9, 2026,” the BCCI announced in a statement.

The board also confirmed the unavailability of wicketkeeper-batter G Kamalini for India's white-ball teams during the Australia tour due to an injury. Uma Chetry has been named as her substitute for the T20Is and ODIs.

Significantly, Kamalini was recently sidelined from the Mumbai Indians’ Women’s Premier League (WPL) season, with Vaishnavi stepping in and making her debut in the tournament.

The selection committee has also put together a competitive India 'A' squad for the Rising Stars Women's Asia Cup, which will take place in Thailand in a T20 format. Radha Yadav will captain the team, while Deeya Yadav and wicketkeeper Mamta M’s involvement will depend on fitness approval from the BCCI Center of Excellence (CoE).

India's Women's Test squad includes: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Amanjot Kaur, Richa Ghosh (wk), Uma Chetry (wk), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Renuka Singh Thakur, Sneh Rana, Kranti Gaud, Vaishnavi Sharma, Sayali Satghare.
