Mumbai, June 7 (NationPress) The North Mumbai Panthers, under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw, achieved their initial victory in the T20 Mumbai League 2025 by overcoming ARCS Andheri by five wickets at Wankhede Stadium on Friday. Shaw kicked off the innings with a quickfire 33 runs off 23 deliveries, while his opening partner, Divyaansh Saxena, made a notable contribution of 36 runs from 31 balls.

In the day's third match, the MSC Maratha Royals outperformed the Eagle Thane Strikers by six wickets at DY Patil Stadium, propelled by impressive half-centuries from team captain Siddhesh Lad and Chinmay Sutar.

Earlier in the day, in a highly anticipated clash featuring India’s white-ball talents, Shreyas Iyer’s SoBo Mumbai Falcons narrowly defeated Suryakumar Yadav’s Triumphs Knights Mumbai North East by four wickets in a thrilling encounter of the T20 Mumbai League 2025 Season 3.

After being invited to bat, the Knights faced challenges on a pitch conducive to seam movement, managing only 145/5. Following a rocky start and an early dismissal of Suryakumar for just 1 run by Kartik Mishra, opener Siddhant Adhatrao anchored the innings with a determined half-century. He partnered with Suryash Shedge to add 46 runs before falling to Nikhil Giri. Suryash (49* off 21) and Makarand Patil (13*) added a late boost, forming an unbeaten 33-run partnership.

The Falcons' response began shakily, with Hitesh Kadam taking out Ishan Mulchandani and Shreyanssh Rai in consecutive deliveries. However, Iyer (13) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi steadied the innings with a 54-run partnership before Iyer was dismissed LBW by Parikshit Valsangkar.

Bandra Blasters edged past Aakash Tigers by a nail-biting one run in the Day 3 opener at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Friday. A stellar bowling performance from pacer Dhanit Raut (4/29) helped the Blasters withstand a determined chase led by veteran opener Jay Bista.

Chasing a modest target of 154, the Aakash Tigers stumbled early, losing their top four batsmen for just 20 runs. However, opener Jay Bista mounted a spirited comeback with a rapid 55 off 48 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. Following Bista’s dismissal by Raut, the Tigers struggled to keep pace with the required run rate, ultimately finishing at 152/8.

Earlier, the Blasters, after a shaky start, managed to post a competitive total of 153. Om Keshkamat was the top scorer with 40 runs, while Dhrumil Matkar contributed 33. For the Tigers, left-arm spinner Shams Mulani was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for just 12 runs.
