The auction, reported on 10 August, sets the stage for a competitive debut season of the franchise-based league organised by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA).

Sanvir Singh to Play Alongside Shubman Gill

Sanvir will now represent the Fazilka Falcons alongside marquee player and Indian cricket team captain Shubman Gill, who was among the prominent Punjab cricketers pre-assigned to franchises at ₹10 lakh each. The opportunity to train and compete with Gill is widely seen as a significant career boost for the young all-rounder.

Key Auction Picks from the First Half

Naman Dhir was the second-highest buy of the session, snapped up by Amritsar Soormas for ₹10.80 lakh. Amolpreet Singh joined Mohali Kings for ₹8.20 lakh, while Harnoor Singh and Ashwani Kumar were both acquired by Bathinda Royals for ₹7 lakh each. Sukhdeep Bajwa went to Jalandhar Warriors for ₹6 lakh.

In the lower price brackets, Harpreet Brar was picked by Mohali Kings for ₹4 lakh, while Mayank Markande joined Amritsar Soormas for ₹1.50 lakh.

League Structure and Marquee Players

The Sher-e-Punjab T20 League features six franchises — Fazilka Falcons, Amritsar Soormas, Ludhiana Lions, Jalandhar Warriors, Mohali Kings, and Bathinda Royals — each representing a distinct region of Punjab. Marquee players include Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Ramandeep Singh, and Gurnoor Brar, all secured at ₹10 lakh each.
