New Delhi, Oct 18 (NationPress) Veteran trap shooter Zoravar Singh Sandhu delivered a remarkable performance, clinching a bronze medal on the second-to-last day of the ISSF World Championship Shotgun 2025, hosted at the Malakasa Shooting Range in Athens, Greece.

Zoravar stood out as the sole athlete from India to reach the final round in this championship, and his medal achievement has also qualified him for the ISSF World Cup Final, scheduled to take place in Doha this December.

On the concluding day of the event, both Indian pairs were unable to secure spots in the medal matches for the Trap Mixed Team. The Asian champion, Neeru Dhanda, along with silver medalist Bhowneesh Mendiratta, scored a total of 137 out of 150 shots, finishing in 25th place, while Zoravar and Aashima Ahlawat matched their score, concluding in 28th position.

In the Men's Trap final, the 48-year-old Zoravar showcased his experience and composure under difficult weather conditions, achieving a bronze medal with a final tally of 31 after qualifying with an impressive score of 122 out of 125.
