Can Table-toppers Dabang Delhi Continue Their Unbeaten Streak Against PBG Pune Jaguars?

Ahmedabad, June 7 (NationPress) The reigning champions, Dempo Goa Challengers, under the leadership of Harmeet Desai, are eager to seize the top position when they clash with Kolkata ThunderBlades in the Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) Season 6 this Sunday. Following this, the current table leaders, Dabang Delhi TTC, will challenge PBG Pune Jaguars in an effort to maintain their unbeaten streak this season.

Dempo Goa Challengers occupies the second position and aims to reclaim the top rank against a formidable yet unpredictable Kolkata ThunderBlades. With Harmeet Desai and Zeng Jian remaining unbeaten in singles and finally finding their rhythm as a doubles team, the defending champions appear well-prepared and confident. Additionally, Krittwika Sinha Roy has been flawless in her two matches. If Goa continues to perform consistently, they will be a tough opponent to beat.

However, Kolkata will not succumb easily. Ankur Bhattacharjee has maintained his impressive form from last season, winning all three of his singles matches. Veterans Aruna Quadri and Adriana Diaz have secured two wins each, but the team is eager for breakthroughs in their doubles and fourth-player slots to end a two-match losing streak.

Later, the league leaders, Dabang Delhi TTC, will strive to extend their unbeaten journey against the third-placed PBG Pune Jaguars. Delhi's strength lies in their balance: Sathiyan and Maria Xiao remain unbeaten as a duo, Diya Chitale has excelled under pressure, and rising star Izaac Quek has showcased world-class skills, despite a narrow Golden Point defeat to Ankur.

Pune, however, boasts significant talent. Anirban Ghosh and Reeth Rishya have been quietly outstanding, with Reeth winning seven out of nine games thus far. The new addition, Zion Lee, who has stepped in for the injured Dina Meshref, will be looking for a more robust performance after her debut. Meanwhile, Alvaro Robles will be eager to turn the tide after a series of narrow defeats.

Organized under the auspices of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and promoted by Niraj Bajaj and Vita Dani, the IndianOil UTT continues to evolve as a premier professional league. All 23 matches, across 16 thrilling days, will be held at Ahmedabad's EKA Arena.
