Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini jointly inaugurated the Shaheed Smarak in Ambala, Haryana on 5 November 2026, honouring martyrs of the 1857 First War of Independence.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also released Haryana Vision 2047 at the ceremony, attended by Union Minister Manohar Lal and Haryana Minister Anil Vij alongside Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Ambala on 5 November 2026.
The Shaheed Smarak in Ambala is dedicated to the martyrs of the 1857 First War of Independence, commemorating their role in India's earliest organised resistance against colonial rule.
The inauguration brought together Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Manohar Lal, Haryana Minister Anil Vij and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the Shaheed Smarak site in Ambala, Haryana on 5 November 2026.
