ABVP rallies at Freedom Park over KPSC irregularities

Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) gathered at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on 7 August 2026, calling for a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the KPSC Veterinary Officer recruitment process.

The ABVP agitation at Freedom Park, Bengaluru centred on alleged malpractice in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) Veterinary Officer recruitment — with protesters demanding the case be handed to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Protesters from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) urged authorities to transfer the KPSC Veterinary Officer recruitment irregularity case to the CBI, arguing that an independent federal probe was necessary to ensure accountability.

The ABVP chose Freedom Park — Bengaluru's designated protest venue — to publicly demand a CBI inquiry into what the student body described as alleged irregularities in the KPSC Veterinary Officer recruitment held in Karnataka.
