Sarma, Jeet Adani lay foundation stone in Dhubri

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Adani Airport, Defence and Aerospace Director Jeet Adani jointly laid the foundation stone for Adani Group's 3,200 MW (8×400 MW) ultra supercritical thermal power project in Dhubri, Assam on 20 September 2026.

The Dhubri plant is configured as 8 units of 400 MW each, totalling 3,200 MW, using ultra supercritical technology — a high efficiency, lower emission design compared to conventional thermal stations.

Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airport, Defence and Aerospace, addressed the gathering at the foundation stone ceremony for the 3,200 MW ultra supercritical thermal power project in Dhubri, Assam on 20 September 2026.

The 3,200 MW ultra supercritical plant in Dhubri is expected to significantly strengthen Assam's energy security, according to officials present at the ceremony led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on 20 September 2026.
