Rajnath, Yogi & Gadkari inaugurate Lucknow expressways

Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, and UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak jointly inaugurated the Lucknow-Kanpur 6-lane Expressway and the Lucknow-Hardoi 4-lane Expressway in Lucknow on 13 July 2026.

The Lucknow-Kanpur 6-lane Expressway was formally opened on 13 July 2026, with senior Centre and state leaders in attendance — a move expected to significantly cut travel time between the two major Uttar Pradesh cities.

Alongside the Kanpur corridor, the Lucknow-Hardoi 4-lane Expressway was also inaugurated on 13 July 2026, strengthening road connectivity in northern Uttar Pradesh under the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) framework.

Rajnath Singh, Yogi Adityanath, Nitin Gadkari, and Brajesh Pathak cut the ribbon to formally commission both the Lucknow-Kanpur 6-lane and Lucknow-Hardoi 4-lane expressways in Lucknow on 13 July 2026, marking a major boost to Uttar Pradesh's road network.
