CDS General N. S. Raja Subramani, newly appointed to India's highest military post, met Sanjay Seth, Minister of State for Defence, at the Ministry of Defence in New Delhi on 16 July 2026.
As Chief of Defence Staff, General N. S. Raja Subramani also heads the Department of Military Affairs under the Ministry of Defence, coordinating tri-service integration and joint operations planning.
The courtesy call between CDS General N. S. Raja Subramani and MoS Defence Sanjay Seth in New Delhi on 16 July 2026 is seen as an early step in aligning the new CDS's priorities with the Ministry of Defence leadership.
